When you add an AI Shadow to a design, it gets its own layer settings. You can use the layer settings to make changes to the shadow, including changing its style.
On iPhone and iPad
To change the style of an AI Shadow on the iPhone or iPad version of Photoroom:

On the Create page, select Your Content.
Use the selector at the top to choose the workspace that contains the design you want to work on.
In the Designs section, select the design that contains the AI Shadow that you want to change. Photoroom opens the design in the editor.
Select Layers.
Select the layer for the AI Shadow.
Select Change style.
Choose the style of AI Shadow:
Soft for a lighter, less intense shadow
Hard for a darker, more intense shadow
Floating for a shadow below the object.
Select Apply this shadow.
Select Done on the shadow layer settings.
[Optional] Use the editor settings to make further changes to your design.
[Optional] Select Export and use the Export settings to save and share your design.
Select the back arrow to save your design and return to your designs.
On Android
To change the style of an AI Shadow on the Android version of Photoroom:
On the Create page, select Your Content.
Use the selector at the top to choose the workspace that contains the design you want to work on.
In the Designs section, select the design that contains the AI Shadow that you want to change. Photoroom opens the design in the editor.
Select Layers.
Select the layer for the AI Shadow.
Select Change shadow style.
Choose the style of AI Shadow:
Soft for a lighter, less intense shadow
Hard for a darker, more intense shadow
Floating for a shadow below the object.
Select Apply this shadow.
Select Done on the shadow layer settings.
[Optional] Use the editor settings to make further changes to your design.
[Optional] Select Export and use the Export settings to save and share your design.
Select the back arrow to save your design and return to your designs.
On Web App
To change the style of an AI Shadow on the web app (desktop) version of Photoroom:
Log in to Photoroom at app.photoroom.com.
Use the selector in the top corner to choose the workspace that contains the design you want to work on.
Select Designs.
Select the design that contains the AI Shadow you want to change. Photoroom opens the design in the editor.
Look at the layers in the side panel. Select the layer for the AI Shadow.
Select Change shadow style.
Choose the style of AI Shadow:
Soft for a lighter, less intense shadow
Hard for a darker, more intense shadow
Floating for a shadow below the object.
[Optional] Use the editor settings to make further changes to your design.
Select Home to save your design and return to your designs.
Note: You can also change the AI Shadow by selecting AI Shadows from the top menu and then choosing a different style.
