By adding a color palette to your brand kit, you make it easier for you and your team to pick consistent colors in your designs.

In your brand kit, there is a Colors section where you can add one or more color palettes. Each color palette is a selection of colors. Photoroom comes with a selection of color palettes that you can use or you can create your own.

Once you have added your colors to your brand kit, they become available in the Photoroom editor. They appear wherever you have the option to select a color, for example, when setting the color of text.

In this article, we explain how to add a color palette in the brand kit. But there is another way to create color palettes — you can get Photoroom to create a color palette based on the colors on an individual layer. For instructions, see Create a brand color palette from a design.

On iPhone and iPad

To add colors to your brand kit:

(Video shows Photoroom on iPhone)

  1. Select Content.

  2. Select the workspace you want to work in, for example, your team workspace.

  3. Select Brand.

  4. Select the plus icon + for the Colors section.

  5. Select Create your own palette to create your own from scratch.

Alternatively, you can select one of the color palettes included in Photoroom. You can use the color palette as is, or you can edit it to meet your requirements. For this article, we will assume you chose to create your own color palette.

  6. Use the Colors options to define the first color in your palette. The Colors options use an iOS color picker.

    You can either:

    • Use the Grid tab and choose a color from the chart.

    • Use the Spectrum tab and choose a color from the chart.

    • Use the Sliders tab and use the red, green, and blue sliders to choose a color

    • Use the Sliders tab and enter red, green, and blue values as numbers

    • Use the Sliders tab and enter the Hex code for a color.

  7. Select Done.
Photoroom adds your color palette to the brand kit and it contains the color you added in the previous step.

  8. Select the plus icon + next to the color in your color palette.

  9. Use the Colors options to create the next color in your palette and select Done.

  10. Repeat steps 8 and 9 until you have added all of the colors you want to include in your palette.

  11. Select the dotted menu ( ... ) for your color palette.

  12. Select Rename.

  13. Give your color palette a suitable name and select Done.

You have now added a color palette to your brand kit. You can follow the same steps to add more color palettes if required.

Your color palette will be shown as color options wherever the editor allows color selection.
