Add fonts to your brand kit

Learn how to add your favorite fonts to your brand kit

You can add fonts to your brand kit so that they are available to everyone in your workspace. This has several benefits:

  • Save time by adding your favorite fonts from Photoroom to your brand kit. It is quicker to choose from a shorter list of favorites than to scroll down the full list of available fonts.

  • Create consistent, on brand text by encouraging your team to only use the fonts in your brand kit.

  • Use fonts that are not included in Photoroom. You can upload custom fonts and third-party fonts.

Important! Uploading custom fonts and third-party fonts

You need to have the font files in the OTF (OpenType Font), .TTF (TrueType Font), or .WOFF (Web Open Font Format). For any commercial fonts, you must also have the license to use them. Do not upload fonts unless they are open source or you have the license to use them.


On iPhone and iPad

To add fonts to your brand kit on the iPhone and iPad version of Photoroom:

  1. Select Content.

  2. Select the workspace you want to work in, for example, a team workspace.

    Note: Each workspace has its own brand kit.

  3. Select Brand.

  4. Select the plus icon + for the Fonts section.

  5. Either:

    • Search for the fonts you want to add to your Brand Kit.

    • Choose from the list of fonts included in Photoroom. When you pick a font, choose which variants of the font you want to add (light, bold, italic, and so on).

    • Select Upload your font and then browse to the font files to upload. Select the font and then select Save for each variant of the font you want to upload (light, bold, italic, and so on).

  6. Close the Save fonts page. You should now see the fonts in the Fonts section of your brand kit.

You have now added the selected fonts to your brand kit. When you or your teammates add or edit text on a design, the Brand Kit fonts are shown at the top of the font list.

Tip: You can also add a font to your brand kit while editing text on a design or template. Select the text layer and then select the brand kit icon from the context menu. Select Save as font.


On Android

To add fonts to your brand kit on the Android version of Photoroom:

  1. Select Content.

  2. Select the workspace you want to work in, for example, a team workspace.

    Note: Each workspace has its own brand kit.

  3. Select Brand.

  4. Select the plus icon + for the Fonts section.

  5. Either:

    • Search for the fonts you want to add to your Brand Kit.

    • Choose from the list of fonts included in Photoroom. When you pick a font, choose which variants of the font you want to add (light, bold, italic, and so on).

    • Select Upload your font and then browse to the font files to upload. Select the font and then select Save for each variant of the font you want to upload (light, bold, italic, and so on).

  6. Select the back arrow to exit the Save fonts page. You should now see the fonts in the Fonts section of your brand kit.

You have now added the selected fonts to your brand kit. When you or your teammates add or edit text on a design, the Brand Kit fonts are shown at the top of the font list.

Tip: You can also add a font to your brand kit while editing text on a design or template. Select the text layer and then select the brand kit icon from the context menu. Select Save as font.


On Web App

To add fonts to a brand kit on the Web App:

  1. Log in to Photoroom at app.photoroom.com.

  2. Select the workspace you want to work in, for example, a team workspace.

    Note: Each workspace has its own brand kit.

  3. Select Brand kit.

  4. Select the Add + button in the Fonts section of the brand kit side panel.

  5. Either:

    • Search for the fonts you want to add to your Brand Kit.

    • Choose the fonts to add from the list of fonts included in Photoroom. When you pick a font, choose which variants of the font you want to add (light, bold, italic, and so on).

    • Select Upload your font and then browse to the font files to upload. You will need to confirm you have the license for the font. Upload each variant of the font separately (light, bold, italic, and so on).

  6. Close the font selection dialog.

You have now added the selected fonts to your brand kit. When you or your teammates add or edit text on a design, the Brand Kit fonts are shown at the top of the font list.

Tip: You can also add a font to your brand kit while editing text on a design or template. Select Brand kit and then use the font settings in the side panel to choose a font or upload a font.
