Photoroom makes it easy to add foreground layers (called "cutouts") from your designs to your brand kit. This is useful when you are working on a design and realise that one of its layers should be used on other designs too. For example, you might have a graphic to show a product has won an award or that it is ethically sourced.

The cutouts in your brand kit are available to add to other designs in the same workspace.

Brand kit on iPhone shows two cutouts have been added. Each cutout is a pair of shoes.

Note: Brand kit is currently available on iPhone and iPad. It is coming to the web app and android soon.

On iPhone and iPad

To add a foreground layer from a design to your brand kit on the iPhone and iPad version of Photoroom:

(Video shows Photoroom on iPhone)

  1. Select Your Content.

  2. Select the workspace that contains the design that has the layer you want to add to your brand kit.

  3. Open the design in the editor.

  4. Select the foreground layer that you want to add to your brand kit.

  5. Select the brand kit icon. Alternatively, select Save cutout to Brand kit and then select Save as cutout.
Photoroom adds the layer to the Cutouts in your brand kit.

To use the cutouts in other designs in the same workspace, edit the design and select Insert. The list of insert options includes the cutouts in your brand kit.

On Web App

To save a foreground layer as a cutout in your brand kit on the web app (desktop) version of Photoroom:

  1. Log in to Photoroom at app.photoroom.com.

  2. Select the workspace that contains the design that has the layer you want to add to your brand kit.

  3. Select the design to open it in the editor.

  4. Select the foreground layer you want to add to the brand kit.

  5. In the sidepanel, select Save cutout to brand kit.

  6. Select Save as cutout.

Photoroom saves the layer to the cutouts section of your brand kit. You will now be able to use Insert to add it to other designs.
