Photoroom has on-screen placement guides to help you position object layers when editing designs and templates. They appear when you move an object layer and show you the center (horizontal and vertical) of the canvas and also the padding boundary.
Note: Trying to center an object on a design or template? See Center an object layer for instructions.
When do the placement guides appear?
By default, the placement guides feature is turned on and the lines whenever you move an object layer to a certain position. The placement lines are pink on iPhone, iPad, and Android versions of Photoroom and blue on the Web App version.
To make the placement guides appear, select an object layer and move it:
Over the horizontal center line of the canvas
Over the vertical center line of the canvas
Over the vertical padding area at the left and right edges of the canvas.
Over the horizontal padding area at the top and bottom of the canvas.
If you don't see the placement guides when you move an object layer, it is usually because they are turned off. You can turn placement guides on and off in your preferences.
