By adding your favorite fonts to your brand kit, you can:

  • Make it easier for teammates to find and use the same font

  • Encourage consistent styling of text

  • Use custom fonts and third-party fonts in Photoroom.

Note: Using brand kit fonts is currently only available on iPhone, iPad, and the Web App. It is coming soon to Android.

Here, we're going to show you how to add text to a design and then set it to use a font from your brand kit.

On iPhone and iPad

To use a brand kit font on a design:

(Video shows Photoroom on iPhone)

  1. Select Your Content and then select a design to open it in the editor.

Alternatively, you could import a photo to create a new design and then edit that.

  2. Select Text and then enter the text you want to appear on your design. Select Done to exit.

If your design already contains text, you can select that instead.

  3. [Optional] Position and resize the text on your design.

  4. [Optional] Choose a color for your text.

  5. Select the text layer to reveal its settings.

  6. Select Font.

  7. Choose the font for the text. The Brand kit fonts are shown at the top of the list so they are easier to find. You can also search for a font, use other open-source fonts from the list, or upload your own font.

  8. Select Done.

  9. [Optional] Select Export to export your design as an image file. You can also share it with other users.

  10. Select x to close the editor and save your design.

On Web App

On the Web App, there are different ways to apply a font from the brand kit, depending on whether you are adding new text or editing existing text. We'll cover both methods here.

Add text that uses a brand kit font

To add text that uses a brand kit font to a design:

  1. Log in to Photoroom at app.photoroom.com.

  2. Select the workspace that you want to work in.

  3. Select Designs and then select the design you want to work on.

Alternatively, you could import a photo to create a new design and then edit that.

  4. Select Add text.

  5. Select the Brand kit font you want to use.

  6. Double-click on the text box and then enter the text you want.

  7. [Optional] Use the text layer settings to change the appearance of the text, for example, to change its color, add an outline, and more.

  8. [Optional] Position and resize the text on your design.

  9. [Optional] Select the download icon to download your design as an image file. Enter a name for the file, choose the file format, and then select Download.
