Show how your product will be used by your customers with Photoroom's Product Staging feature. Just upload a product photo and the AI will create a realistic scene automatically.
When using Product Staging, be aware that AI images can have differences to the original photo, especially with more complex patterns, shapes and text.

On iPhone and iPad
To use Product Staging on the iPhone and iPad version of Photoroom:

Select the Space you want to work in.
Select AI Tools.
Select Product Staging.
If you don't see Product Staging, select the See <number> more link to reveal all of the AI tools.
Select + Add your photo and then upload a photo of your product.
Set the size of the image that Photoroom will create. Choose from:
Square
Portrait (2:3 ratio)
Landscape (3:2 ratio).
Select the arrow button.
Photoroom will generate 2 images. It should take approximately 1 minute to complete and the progress is shown as percentages.
Decide whether to use either of the images:
If an image is close to what you want, select it. You will get a chance to make changes later, including changing the background.
If both images are unsuitable, select the arrow button to generate more. Note that there is a limit on how many images you can generate. When you have an image that's close to what you want, select it.
[Optional] Use Remove background to include or exclude the background from the AI image.
If you remove the background, you will get a design that has an empty background layer and the foreground objects, such as your product, on another layer.
If you keep the background, you will get the entire AI image on a single layer.
[Optional] Enter a description of any changes you want the AI to make. For example, you could describe a completely different background or tell the AI to add or remove people or items. Select the arrow button to regenerate the image based on your description.
[Optional] Select Export to download your image as an image file. You can also use the export settings to share your image or turn it into an animation (Max plan or higher).
Select X to exit the feature and save your design.
Tip: To make more changes to your Product Staging image, find it in your designs and open it in the editor. Use the editor settings to make the changes. To learn how to use the editing features, see Features and tools.
On Android
To use Product Staging on the Android version of Photoroom:

Select the Space you want to work in.
Select AI Tools.
Select Product Staging.

To use Product Staging:

Log in at app.photoroom.com.
Select the Space you want to work in.
Select AI Tools.
Select Product Staging.
If you don't see Product Staging, select the See all link on the right to reveal all of the AI tools.
Select + Subject and then upload a photo of your product.
Set the Size of the image that Photoroom will create:
Square
Portrait (3:2 ratio)
Landscape (3:2 ratio).
Select the arrow button to generate 2 images. It should take approximately 1 minute to complete and the progress is shown as percentages.
Decide whether to use either of the images:
If an image is close to what you want, select it. You will get a chance to make changes later.
If both images are unsuitable, select the arrow button to generate more. When you have an image that's close to what you want, select it.
[Optional] Use Remove background to include or exclude the AI background from the design.
If you remove the background, you will get a design that has a white background layer and the foreground objects, such as your product, on another layer. You'll be able to replace the background in the editor.
If you keep the background, you will get the entire AI image on a single layer in your design.[Optional] Use these options to change the image:
Change something to describe any changes you want the AI to apply to the image.
Retouch to remove parts of the image that you don't want. Set the brush size and draw over the area you want to remove. This option is only available when the background layer is present.

Edit Cutout to erase or restore parts of the image. This is only available when the background layer has been removed.

Resize to change the dimensions for the image. When you select Resize, the image is shown in the editor. From there, you can set a different size for the image.
[Optional] Select Download to download the image in its current form.
Select Use this image (only required if you did not use Retouch, Edit Cutout or Resize).
[Optional] Use the editing features to make additional changes, such as add text, shapes, and other design elements. To learn how to use the editing features, see Features and tools.
[Optional] Select Download. Enter a name for the download file and choose the image format. Select Download.
Select Home to save your design and exit the editor.
