As you create more and more designs, the list of designs available in your workspace can become quite long. To help you find particular designs more quickly, you can group your designs in folders. For example, you could create one folder for t-shirt designs and another folder for mug designs.

Close up of Designs page header in Photoroom. It shows two folders, one for Mugs and one for T-Shirts.

Inside the T-Shirts folder there are 4 t-shirt-related designs.
Inside the Mugs folder, there are 4 mug-related designs.

Important!

Every design in a workspace is listed under Designs (or a variation of that title). These are your "workspace designs". When you add a design to a folder, you create a reference or "shortcut" to the matching design in the "workspace designs". There is one design, but you have made it available from two places ("workspace designs" and your folder).

This is important when deleting a design, as the deletion removes the design from your folder and the Designs List.

On iPhone and iPad

To create folders and add designs to them on the Web App version of Photoroom:

  1. Select Content.

  2. Select the workspace you want to work in.

  3. Select the plus + button in the Folders section.

  4. Enter a name for the folder. We recommend a meaningful name so that other users can understand what type of designs might be found in the folder.

  5. Repeat steps 3 and 4 to create any other folders you might need.

  6. To add a design to a folder:

    1. Select the dotted menu ( ... ) for the design.

    2. Select Add to folder*.

    3. Select the name of the folder. Note that a design can only be in one folder.

    4. Repeat a-d for each design that you want to be available from a folder.

*When you select Add to folder:

  • Photoroom associates the design with the folder.

  • You can view and open the design from:

    • Your folder

    • Your "workspace designs"

  • If the design is deleted, it is removed from everywhere. It will no longer be available from your folder or your "workspace designs".
