Blurring part of an image, usually the background, is one of the most popular effects in professional photography. It enhances the storytelling in your designs by:
Drawing attention to your subject with a cleaner, less distracting background.
Giving a sense of context by suggesting the mood or setting without adding unnecessary visual noise.
In traditional photography, achieving this effect often requires costly equipment. With Photoroom, it’s simple and accessible to everyone.

On Android
To blur a layer of your design:
Select the Space you want to work in.
Either:
Create a new design.
When you upload a photo, wait for Photoroom to remove the background and then select a template. To keep the background in the photo, select the Original background template.
Edit an existing design.
Select a design on the Content screen to open it in the editor.
Select the layer that you want to blur.
Note: If you find it difficult to select the layer, select the Layers option and then select the layer from the list.
Scroll down to the Blur setting and switch it on.
Choose a type of blur from the list. There are several blur effects available, and each produces a different effect.
Use the slider below the blur types to increase or decrease the amount of blur.
Select Done on the layer when you are happy with the blur effect.
[Optional] Use the editor settings to make further changes, such as adding text or graphics to your design.
Select Export and use the export settings to save and share your design.
Select Done.
