Steps (Android)

To recolor one or more images in a batch follow the instructions below (split into stages, some are optional). The video below shows all stages.

Stage 1: Access the Recolor tool in Batch

  1. Start a new batch or resume a previous one, see Create a batch of images (Android).

  2. Select AI Tools.

  3. Select Recolor.

Important: Make sure you select AI Tools > Recolor from inside the Batch editor. If you're outside the Batch editor, the standalone Recolor feature will open instead.

Stage 2: Use the Recolor settings

Use the Recolor settings to give Photoroom instructions:

  1. Select the batch image(s) you want to recolor.

  2. Use the Color selector to choose your target color. It will replace color(s) in the image.

  3. Use the prompt to describe which parts to recolor, for example, "recolor the tshirt".

  4. Choose a Size.

  5. Select the arrow button to generate.

    Each generation uses AI credits.

Photoroom generates a recolored version of each selected image based on your settings.

Stage 3: Edit your Batch images

The editing steps in this stage are optional.

  1. Select an image to open it in the main editor.

  2. Use the main editor to make changes, such as adding text or graphics.

  3. Select the back arrow to exit the editor and return to the Batch editor.

  4. Choose whether you want to apply your edits to all images or only the image(s) you edited (see How does "Apply recent edits to all" work?).

Tip: To delete a Batch image, select the context menu ( ... ) at the top of the screen and choose Select images. Then select the image you want to remove and select Delete.

Stage 4: Export your images

When you are finished editing:

  1. Select Export images.

  2. Select Save to Gallery to save the images to your photo gallery.

  3. Select Share to share the images with other people.

  4. Select X and then the back arrow to exit the Batch editor.
