Notifications about activity (Android)

How to turn push notifications on so that Photoroom can send you updates about certain types of activity. Android.

Photoroom can send you notifications about various types of activity in your Spaces. These include when a teammate:

  • Joins one of your Spaces

  • Adds a new design

  • Edits a design you created

  • Comments on one of your designs

  • @ mentions you on a design.

To receive notifications, enable notifications for Photoroom in your device settings.

Steps (Android)

You can enable notifications in the Settings on your Android device:

Option 1 (most Android devices)

  1. Open Settings.

  2. Select Apps or Apps & notifications.

  3. Select Photoroom.

  4. Select Notifications.

  5. Turn on notifications for Photoroom.

Option 2 (Samsung Galaxy devices)

  1. Open Settings.

  2. Select Notifications.

  3. Select App notifications.

  4. Find and select Photoroom.

  5. Turn on notifications.

Note: If your device supports notification categories, make sure all relevant notification types are enabled. This applies to all brands of Android device.


When are notifications sent?

The timing of the notifications varies depending on the type of event.

Notes:

  • Notifications for design additions and edits are batched. If multiple events happen in quick succession, they are grouped into a single notification rather than sending one per action.

  • @ mention notifications are sent to the design author, not the commenter, and link directly to the design.


Troubleshooting

If you are not receiving notifications:

  • Make sure notifications are enabled for Photoroom in your device settings

  • Check that your device is not in Do Not Disturb or Focus mode

  • Check that Battery Saver or Adaptive Battery settings are not restricting Photoroom notifications

  • Make sure you are logged in to the correct Photoroom account

  • Some notifications may be delayed because they are grouped into batches.
