Set your Google Drive images to shared

The first step is to set the images and/or image folders in Google Drive to allow sharing. Typically, they are set to Restricted access by default, which prevents Photoroom from showing previews of the images.

  1. In Google Drive, select the context menu ( ... ) for the file or folder.

  2. Select the Share menu.

  3. Select Share.

  4. Set the General access option to Anyone with the link and Viewer.

  5. Select Done.

Next, connect your Google Drive to Photoroom. To do that, you need to access the Add images dialog.

To connect Photoroom to your Google Drive, use an Add images dialog.

The Add images dialog is available from many places, including:

  • Home page > Start from a photo

  • Home page > Remove a background

  • Home page > Generate AI backgrounds

  • Home page > Retouch an image

  • Any AI tool's photo upload step

  • Batch > Add images

  • Batch > main editor > Insert > Graphics

  • Batch > main editor > Insert > Brand kit

  • Shopify Products editor > Add product

  • Shopify Products editor > Add images.

When you have accessed the Add images dialog, you can connect your Google Drive to Photoroom.
