When you upload an image file to use with an AI tool, Photoroom analyzes it and performs a quality check. During the check, it scores the image across several categories including:

  • Visibility

  • Technical quality

  • Usefulness of pose or view

  • Color fidelity

  • Material fidelity

If the scores are low, it means the image is not ideal for using as a source image. Photoroom displays a "Quality issues detected" message:

If you see this message, you have two choices:

  • Ignore
Accept that the image has some flaws and continue using it with your chosen AI tool.

  • Select another photo
Upload a different photo to use instead.

Note: The Quality issues detected message is advisory only. It does not stop you from generating images with AI tools.
