In this article, we're going to explain how you can:
Create a batch of images that keep their original backgrounds
Resize those images all at once.
This is a common requirement for product photos, where good quality images already exist, but need to be resized for different uses, such as social media. For example, in the image below, the batch images keep their original background and are resized from a square canvas to a rectangular portrait canvas.
On Web App
To create a batch of images, restore their original backgrounds, and then resize the images:
Log in at app.photoroom.com.
Select the workspace you want to work in.
Select Batch.
Either:
Select Import images and then select the image files you want to include in your batch.
Select Import folder and then select a folder that contains all of the image files you want to include in your batch.
To restore the original backgrounds, either:
Select Background and then turn Remove original backgrounds off.
Select Templates and then select Original image in the Classics category. Click next to the Classics heading to display the See all link and arrow buttons. Use those to scroll to the Original image template.
Select Resize.
Choose a pre-made size or select Custom Size and enter the size you want. When you resize, Photoroom will automatically adapt your images to fit the new canvas size.
[Optional] Select an image to open it in the editor. Use the editor settings to make further changes, such as adding text or graphics. Select < Batch mode to exit the editor and return to the Batch Mode screen.
Select Download images.
Enter a name for the zip file that will download. The zip file will contain a folder that has the same name and your image files will be inside that.
Select a file Format. Choose from PNG (best for quality and transparent backgrounds, but largest file size), JPEG, and WEBP.
Select Download to download the zip file in your browser.
Use your file explorer to unzip the folder and extract the image files.
You can now use your file explorer to unzip the folder and extract the image files. Once extracted, you can use them in other applications.
