You can edit the size or position of your subject before getting the AI to generate an Instant Background. Sometimes this is easier than changing the foreground objects after the background has been created.

Note: On all devices, if you create an Instant Background and then move or resize the foreground objects, you will need to regenerate the background. This is because the AI creates the background based on the positioning, size, and lighting on your objects. If the objects change, the Instant Background may become blurred.
On iPhone and iPad
To edit the size or position of an object before generating an Instant Background:

On the Create page, select Start from Photo and choose an image to import. Alternatively, you could select Your Content and edit one of your existing designs instead.
Choose one of the Templates.
Select the object you want to change and use gestures to change its size. Drag the object to reposition it.
Select Done on the object's layer settings.
Select Backgrounds.
Select Instant Backgrounds.
Choose from one of the suggested Instant Backgrounds or select the pencil icon in the top-right corner to create your own with prompts.
Either choose one of the Instant Backgrounds or select Generate 4 more to get more choices.
You can edit the image if you wish, but if you change the size, position, or lighting of the object, you will get a blur effect. To remove that, select the background layer and then Regenerate background.
Close the Layer settings and select Export to save your design. Alternatively, you can use the Export icon in the top-right corner.
Tip: You can remove parts of an Instant Background. Edit the image and select the background layer. Then select Retouch and draw over the parts of the image you want to remove.
On Android
