If the AI creates an background that is ideal apart from one or two details, you can use Retouch to make it perfect. Retouch lets you remove selected parts of the background.
On iPhone and iPad
To remove parts of an AI Background on iPhone or iPad:

On the Create page, select Your Content and choose the design you want to edit.
If you are part-way through creating a new design, ignore this step and continue from step 2.
Select Layers and then select the background layer (it is the layer at the bottom of the list). Alternatively, touch any part of the background layer.
Select Retouch.
Use the Brush width slider to control the size of the brush.
Paint over the area of the image that you want to remove. You may need to go over the area several times and extend your paint area further into the background to remove it completely.
Select Done.
Select Export and use the options to save, rename, and share your design.
On Android
To remove parts of an AI Background on Android:

Log in at app.photoroom.com.
On the Create page, select Designs and choose the design you want to edit.
Select Layers and then select the background layer (it is the layer at the bottom of the list). Alternatively, select any part of the background layer.
Select Retouch.
Use the Brush width slider to control the size of the brush.
Paint over the area of the image that you want to remove. You may need to go over the area several times and extend your paint area further into the background to remove it completely.
Select Confirm when you have finished retouching the image.
Select Download to download a local copy in your browser. Photoroom also saves your design to your workspace.
