Delete a layer

How to delete a layer so that it is removed from your design.

Your designs and templates in Photoroom are made up of multiple layers, with each layer containing a different part of the image. If you want to remove one of the layers, you can delete it.


On iPhone and iPad

To delete a layer on the iPhone or iPad version of Photoroom:

  1. On the Create page, select Your Content and then select a design to edit.

  2. Select the Select option.

  3. Select the layer you want to delete from the list at the bottom.

  4. Scroll down to the bottom of the layer's settings and select Delete. Alternatively, select the trash can icon above the selection box in your design.


Photoroom deletes the layer you selected. If you made a mistake, use the Undo feature to restore the deleted layer.


On Android

To delete a layer on the iPhone or iPad version of Photoroom:

  1. On the Create page, select Your Content and then select a design to edit.

  2. Select Layers.

  3. Select the layer you want to delete from the list at the bottom.

  4. Scroll down to the bottom of the layer's settings and select Delete. Alternatively, select the trash can icon above the selection box in your design.


Photoroom deletes the layer you selected. If you made a mistake, use the Undo feature to restore the deleted layer.


On Web App

To delete a layer on the Web App (desktop) version of Photoroom:

  1. On the home page, select Designs in the Your Content section and then select the design you want to edit.

  2. In the side panel, select the layer you want to delete.

  3. Scroll down to the bottom of the layer's settings and select Delete. Alternatively, you can select the layer and then press the Delete key.

Photoroom deletes the layer you selected. If you made a mistake, use the Undo feature to restore the deleted layer.
