When you import an image, Photoroom analyses your photo and creates layers for the background and foreground objects. Sometimes, you might want to create extra copies of the objects and one way to do this is to create a duplicate of a layer.
Duplicate layers are useful if you want:
Multiple versions of an object in the same design, perhaps in different colors.
To keep all the objects that are currently on a single layer, but have them on separate layers instead. You can duplicate the layer and then use the Cutout feature to remove parts if needed.

On iPhone and iPad
To duplicate a layer on iPhone or iPad:

On the Create page, select Your Content and then select the design you want to edit. Alternatively, you could create a new design and edit that.
Select Layers.
Select the layer you want to copy.
Scroll down the layer's settings and select Duplicate. Photoroom adds a copy of the layer to your design.
Move and resize the layers as required.
Use each layer's settings to apply styling such as brightness, color, and shadows.
Select Export and use the settings to save and share your design.
On Android
To duplicate a layer on Android:

On the Create page, select Your Content and then select the design you want to edit. Alternatively, you could create a new design and edit that.
Select the Layers option.
Select the layer you want to copy.
Scroll down the layer's settings and select Duplicate. Photoroom adds a copy of the layer to your design.
Move and resize the layers as required.
Use each layer's settings to apply styling such as brightness, color, and shadows.
Select Export and use the settings to save and share your design.
On Web App
To duplicate a layer on the Web App (desktop):

On the Home page, select Designs in the Your Content section. Then select the design you want to edit. Alternatively, you could create a new design and edit that.
Select the layer you want to copy.
Scroll down the layer's settings and select Duplicate. Photoroom adds a copy of the layer to your design.
Move and resize the layers as required.
Use each layer's settings to apply styling such as brightness, color, and shadows.
Select Download to save your design and download a local copy.
