A popular way to emphasise foreground objects in designs is to use an outline. Depending on your requirements, you can:

  • Change the thickness of an outline

  • Change the color of an outline

  • Use a blurred outline for a softer, fuzzier outline.

For example, this image of a coat has a blue outline with a blurred edge.

A black winter coat. Around it is a blue outline with blurred edges.
