Learn how to control whether Photoroom can use your data to train our AI

By default, Photoroom uses your designs to train our AI so that it can deliver even better results in future versions. If you prefer, you can opt-out of sharing your data by disabling the Improve model for everyone option.

Currently, you can only change the Improve model for everyone setting for individual user accounts. There is no option to change the Improve model for everyone setting for all users at once (although we have plans for that in the future).

Note: We only use data from designs made in the app. We do not use data from images made using API.


On iPhone and iPad

If you are using an iPhone or iPad, follow these instructions to set the permission for Photoroom to use your data:

  1. On the Create page, select Content.

  2. Select the workspace in the top corner.

  3. Select Manage account.

  4. Select Data control.

  5. Use the Improve model for everyone switch to control whether Photoroom has permission to use your data.

    * When the switch is gray and white, Photoroom cannot use your data.
    * When the switch is purple and white, Photoroom can use your data.

    There is also an option to view our Terms and conditions.


On Android

If you are using an Android device, follow these instructions to set the permission for Photoroom to use your data:

On the Create page, select Your Content.

  1. On the Create page, select Content.

  2. Select the workspace in the top corner.

  3. Select Manage account.

  4. Select Data control.

  5. Use the Improve model for everyone switch to control whether Photoroom has permission to use your data.

    * When the switch is gray and white, Photoroom cannot use your data.
    * When the switch is purple and white, Photoroom can use your data.

    There is also an option to view our Terms and conditions.



On Web App

If you are using the Web App (desktop), follow these instructions to set the permission for Photoroom to use your data:

  1. Log in to Photoroom at app.photoroom.com.

  2. On the Create page, select Preferences.

  3. Select Your profile.

  4. Scroll down to the Terms & conditions section.

  5. Use the Improve model for everyone slider to control whether Photoroom has permission to use your data.

    * When the slider button is gray and white, Photoroom cannot use your data.
    * When the slider button is purple and white, Photoroom can use your data.

    There is also an option to view our Terms and conditions.
