You can share a design with other people as:

  • A design in Photoroom, where it can still be edited if required (see Share a design)

  • A regular image file that you can download or send via email or messaging apps. The image file can be a .png, .jpg, or .webp*.

*.webp is currently only supported on the Android version of Photoroom.

Here, we explain how to share your design as an image file on iPhone, iPad, and Android. The Web App does not have a share image option, but you can download the design as an image file and then share that just like you would any other file on your computer.

On iPhone and iPad

To share a design as an image file on the iPhone or iPad version of Photoroom:

  1. On the Create page, select Your Content.

  2. Select the design you want to share as an image file to open it in the editor.

  3. Select Export.

  4. Select Share image.

Note: Do not select Share design. That option is for sharing the design so that other people can view, and potentially edit it, in Photoroom.

  5. Use one of your device's apps to share the image file, for example, select Mail to send the image file in an email.

  6. Select Done.

Tip: Do you need the image file in another format? You can change the file format to .png or .jpg. For instructions, see Convert Photoroom images to different formats.

On Android

To share a design as an image file on the Android version of Photoroom:

  1. On the Create page, select Your Content.

  2. Select the design you want to share as an image file to open it in the editor.

  3. Select Export.

  4. Select Share image.

Note: Do not select Share Link. That option is for sharing the design so that other people can view, and potentially edit it, in Photoroom.

  5. Use one of your device's apps to share the image file, for example, select GMail to send the image file in an email. Enter the contact details for the message, where appropriate, and send the image.

  6. Select Done.

Tip: Do you need the image file in another format? You can change the file format to .png or .jpg. For instructions, see Convert Photoroom images to different formats.
