With Hue, you can change the range of colors used on a layer. For example, in the images below, we started with a white jacket that has claret and blue flowers. By changing the Hue, we turned the jacket into a white jacket with yellow and turquoise flowers.

Note that the white jacket remained white. This is because Hue does not change white, black or shades of gray.

To use Hue, open a design in the editor and select a layer. In the layer settings, select Adjust and then select Hue. Use the slider to change the color scheme. For detailed instructions, see Adjust the visual properties of a layer.

How does Hue work?

On your designs, each layer uses a range of colors. You can think of them as the color scheme for the layer. Each of the individual colors has a specific position on the color wheel.

When you change the Hue, you move all the colors on the layer to a new position on the color wheel. For example, the reds might shift to pinks, the blues to purples, and the greens to yellows. All the colors on the layer change to a new color (with the exception of black, white, and shades of gray).
