Photoroom's Ignore padding on cropped sides feature makes it easier to manage the inner margin on batch images. Instead of having the same amount of padding on all images, you can set Photoroom to only apply padding where it's suitable.

If you turn Ignore padding on cropped sides on, Photoroom will:

  • Keep the padding where the subject of the image does not touch the edges.

  • Ignore the padding where the subject of the image touches the edges.

For example, the shirt on the left has padding applied as it fits on the canvas without touching the edges. The shirt on the right does not have padding, as the image touches three of the four edges.

Two images. Image 1 shows a blue shirt folded up. There is white space between the shirt and all 4 sides of the canvas border. Image 2 shows a close up of the shirt collar. The image goes touches the left, right, and bottom edges of the canvas and has no padding.

Availability: Currently, Ignore padding on cropped sides is only available on the Web App version of Photoroom.
