When you're editing a batch of images, you may have some images that touch the edge of the canvas and others that don't. For these images, you'll likely want to use different padding.

In the Position settings, you can use Ignore padding on cropped sides to manage the padding (inner margin).

If you turn Ignore padding on cropped sides on, Photoroom will:

  • Keep the padding where the subject of the image does not touch the edges.

  • Ignore the padding where the subject of the image touches the edges.

For example, the shirt on the left has padding applied as it fits on the canvas without touching the edges. The shirt on the right does not have padding, as the image touches three of the four edges.

Two images. Image 1 shows a blue shirt folded up. There is white space between the shirt and all 4 sides of the canvas border. Image 2 shows a close up of the shirt collar. The image goes touches the left, right, and bottom edges of the canvas and has no padding.

If you turn Ignore padding on cropped sides off, Photoroom will use the same padding for all of the images in the batch.
