In this article, we show you how to use the Original template on the iOS version of Photoroom. The Original template lets you keep the original background of your photo on its own layer. This gives you more flexibility when editing as you can place other elements, such as text and graphics, between the background and foreground.

On iPhone and iPad
To create a design and apply the original template so that it keeps the original background image:

Select the Space you want to work in.
Select Start from photo and then choose a photo to import.
Wait for Photoroom to remove the background automatically. Do not select Skip background removal.
Select the Original image template from the Classics category.
Photoroom creates a design and opens it in the editor. You design has the background of your photo as a background layer and the foreground as a foreground layer.
[Optional] Use the editing features to change the image as required. For example, to add text or shapes or to change the color.
You can add layers and position them between the background and foreground layers if you wish.

[Optional ] Select Export. Use the export options to save and share your design.
Select Close design.
