Improve the lighting of a design (iOS)

Learn how to use Improve lighting to make a layer brighter. iOS.

This article shows how to use the Improve lighting feature to lighten or darken a foreground layer on a design.

Before and after. Before shows a flask that is dim and badly lit. After shows the same flask, but much brighter and well-lit.

On iPhone and iPad

To improve the lighting:

  1. Select the Space that contains the dark design.

  2. Select Content.

  3. Select the design you want to edit.

  4. Select the layer you want to lighten.

  5. Use the Improve lighting feature in the layer settings to make the layer lighter (or darker if you turn Improve lighting off).

  6. [Optional] Use the editor settings to make further changes to the design.

  7. Select Save to save your design in Photoroom and download it as an image file to your device. When you save, there are also options for sharing the image.

  8. Select X to exit the editor.

Note: You can also make a layer brighter or darker by using the Highlights option in the Adjust settings for a layer.
