Each layer in your design has a position relative to other layers—it can be in front of or behind them. You can change a layer’s position by adjusting the layer stack order.

In this article, we explain how to change the layer stack order on the Android version of Photoroom. If you're using the iOS or Web App versions of Photoroom, see:

On Android

To move a layer in front or behind another layer:

  1. Select the Space you want to work in.

  2. Select Content.

  3. Select the design you want to edit.

  4. Select Layers.

  5. Press and hold the two horizontal lines at the end of the layer you want to move.

  6. Drag the layer to a new position in the stack order.

    • Move the layer up the list to move it in front of the lower layers.

    • Move the layer down the list to move it behind the higher layers.

  7. Select Done.

  8. [Optional] Use the editor settings to make further changes, such as add text or graphics.

  9. Select Export to save your design in Photoroom and download it as an image on your device. There are also options for sharing your design with other people.
