This article describes the workflow for editing Product Catalog images. We'll cover the steps involved, from applying a template to publishing your updates to your Shopify store. Many of these steps are optional.
To edit Product Catalog images, you need to:
Make sure Photoroom is connected to your Shopify store.
Decide which editing features you want to use.
Edit the images.
The following editing steps are optional:
Apply a Template for quick, consistent styling.
Use Resize to change the size of your product images.
Use Position to change the alignment and padding
Apply AI Shadows to create a sense of depth and realism.
Use the main Photoroom editor to edit individual product images.
The main editor includes features not available in the Product Catalog Editor. These include options for adding text, graphics, and changing layer settings like brightness and blur effects.
Important: Some Product Catalog features are currently only available on the Web App version of Photoroom. For example, you can use the Web App to edit a selection of images rather than all, associate images with variants, set up SEO filenames and alt text.
When you have finished:
Use Shopify to complete the listing details.
Publishing keeps Photoroom and Shopify in sync and updates your product images in your store.
Important: Edits only appear in your Shopify store after you publish them.
