Both Product Beautifier and Studio Shot can create professional-looking product images with studio-style backgrounds, but they have important differences.

In this article, we outline the key differences and help you choose the right feature for your needs.

What's the difference between Product Beautifier and Studio Shot?

Product Beautifier:

Product Beautifier enhances the background and the product. It:

  • Replaces the background of the image with a studio-style background

  • Adjusts the product in your image, including:

    • Perspective (camera angle and position)

    • Lighting (deeper shadows, brighter highlights, more contrast)

    • Sharpness (improves clarity of text and logos)

  • Uses more AI credits than Studio Shot.

You can turn average product photos into professional-looking images with Product Beautifier.

Studio Shot:
Studio Shot focuses on the background only. It:

  • Replaces the background with a studio-style background

  • Keeps the product unchanged

  • Uses fewer AI credits than Product Beautifier.

Studio Shot does not:

  • Relight the image

  • Change the orientation

  • Adjust the camera angle.

When should you use Product Beautifier?

Use Product Beautifier when you need high-impact images, such as hero or featured product shots.

If your budget allows, you can use it for all product images.

When should you use Studio Shot?

Use Studio Shot when:

  • You only need a new background

  • Your original product images are already well-lit and properly angled

  • The images are for internal use (for example, inventory)

  • You want to reduce AI credit usage.

There is an alternative to Studio Shot. You can edit an image and then apply an AI studio background. Like Studio Shot, this uses fewer AI credits than Product Beautifier, but only changes the background.

Studio Shot in Batch:

Studio Shot is not currently supported in Batch, but you can edit an image, and apply an AI studio background. When you exit the editor, use Apply to all to give all of the batch images a studio background. For instructions, see:
