Use Sections to group Batch images into separate categories. You can create as many sections as needed, each with its own name and options that apply only to the images in that section.

Image shows a batch with two sections. Each section name is highlighted.

Sections make it easier to:

  • Manage large batches

  • Quickly select groups of images

  • Generate AI images from a group of images

  • Keep exported files organized when downloading assets as ZIP files

Steps (Web App)

To create and organize Sections in a Batch:

  1. Right-click on a Batch image to display a menu.

  2. Select Create new section.

    Photoroom creates two sections:

    • One section containing the selected image

    • One section containing all remaining images.

  3. To name your sections, double-click on the section name and then enter a new name.

  4. Repeat steps 2-4 until you have all of the sections you need.

  5. Drag and drop Batch images into the appropriate sections.

You can drag individual images or move multiple selected images at once. To learn more, see How to select images using the Batch feature (Web App).

Note: Photoroom automatically deletes Sections that have no images in them.

  6. [Optional] Click on a section name to display the "pill menu" for the section. From here, you can:

    • Select All images in the section

    • Download all images in the section

    • Delete all images in the section

    • Duplicate all images in the section

    • Access More tools to use AI Tools to generate new images based on the images in the section.

  7. To download all images across all sections, select Download images in the top-right corner.

Note: The More tools and Duplicate options are only available if at least one image is selected in the section.

Missing sections

If a section no longer appears, it is usually because all images were removed from it. Photoroom automatically deletes empty sections.

To restore the section, create it again and leave at least one image in it.
