Photoroom’s Free Utilities features have a daily limit to help prevent abuse of the system. The Free Utilities are:
Background Remover
AI Expand
Image Enhancer
AI Shadows (preset shadows)
Resize
Retouch (for erasing and adding).
If you are working in a Space with a paid subscription, it is unlikely that you will ever hit the daily limit. We have set a generous limit based on actual usage data.
In a free Space, the daily limit is much lower and so you may hit the limit.
What happens if you hit the daily limit?
Photoroom notifies you in-app if you hit the daily limit. At this point, you can either:
Upgrade to a paid subscription
Wait until the next day, when the limit will reset and you can use the Free Utilities features again.
Do all features have a daily usage limit?
No. The daily usage limit only applies to the Free Utilities features.
Other AI features require AI credits and do not have a daily limit.
Does the daily usage limit affect the export limit?
No. The daily usage limit is specifically for the Free Utilities features.
Note: If you have hit the export limit, you will be unable to export images for all features, including the Free Utilities features. For details, see Export limit.
