How to use Product Fixer to make product details more accurate in AI-generated images.

Written by Craig Wright

Use Photoroom's Product Fixer to improve the accuracy and fidelity of AI-generated images. It is a standalone tool, where you upload the images you want to fix. You can use it with:

  • AI-generated images created using other apps and services

  • AI-generated images you created in Photoroom and exported as image files.

How it works:

You upload at least 2 images:

  • A product photo that shows the product as it really is

  • The image that shows the product with some inaccuracies, such as text that's been misinterpreted by AI.

You then draw over the area you need Photoroom to fix, use a prompt to describe the change, and Photoroom takes care of the rest. It uses information in the original product photo(s) to fix the inaccurate image.

Availability

  • Web App only.

  • All paid subscription plans.

  • Does NOT require AI credits.

  • Works with images, not video.

Ways to access Product Fixer

Product Fixer is available from the AI tools menu on the Home screen.

Note: There is a Fix product tool that is available while editing images generated by certain AI tools, including AI Fashion Models. It works in a similar way to Product Fixer, except that you use it in the editing workflow. For details, see:

Settings for Product Fixer

Product Fixer has two Source image options:

  • Add a product image to fix

  • Add photos of the product

  • Fix product

  • Prompt.

Add photos of the product

Select the box and upload one or more product photos that show the correct details for the areas you want to fix. These are reference photos that Photoroom can use to get a more information about the area.

For example, if you want a logo to be more accurate, you could upload several images showing the logo in more detail.

When you have added a source image and reference photos, select Fix product to move to the next stage.

Brush size

Use to change the size of the cursor for painting over the area you want to fix. Use a smaller brush size for more precision or a larger size to cover a larger area more quickly.

After generating an image

If you're happy with the fix, select:

  • Download to download the image

  • Use this image to open the image in the editor, where you can make further changes, save it to Photoroom, and download it. To learn about the main editor features, see the Editing your designs articles.

If the image still needs more fixing, repeat the process and try to add more detail in the prompt.
