When you edit a design (new or existing), you can use the Resize option to change the dimensions. There are predefined sizes to choose from or you can set your own custom size. When you resize, Photoroom extends the background to fill the canvas and you can reposition the image if required.
In this article, we explain how to use the Resize option when editing a new design or an existing design.
Note: Resize is also available as a standalone tool and as an option in the Batch editor and Shopify Products editor (see the articles in the Related Content section at the end).

Does not use AI credits.
Steps (iOS)
To use the Resize feature while editing a new design or an existing design:
Select the Space you want to work in.
Select Designs.
Do one of these:
Create a new design and upload an image
Select the existing design that you want to resize.
Select Resize.
Choose a size from the list or select Custom Dimensions and add the size you want.
Photoroom resizes the image to fit the new dimensions. If needed, it extends the background to fill the canvas.
[Optional] Use drag and pinch gestures to resize and reposition the image on the canvas.
[Optional] Select Variations to generate alternative versions of the background. Select the background you want to use or select X to keep the existing background.
Select Done to open the resized image in the editor.
[Optional] Use the editor to make further changes.
Save the finished design.
