Photoroom has a standalone Image Enhancer tool that lets you upscale images. It works by:
Resizing the image so that it has larger dimensions, increasing its pixel count
Analyzing the existing image
Generating a new version of the image, adding realistic and plausible details.
The result is a higher-resolution image that stays sharp when zoomed in, printed, or displayed at larger sizes.

Image Enhancer is available from the AI tools menu from the Home screen.

The standalone Image Enhancer tool has these settings:

Before and After
Source image
Image Enhancer needs a source image, which is the image you want to upscale.
On the Web App, you are prompted to upload an image.
On iOS and Android, you can upload an image, choose an existing image, or generate a new image using Photoroom's AI tools.

Enhance
Use to:
Sharpen the image
Remove blur/noise
Add detail to improve sharpness, without changing the content of the image.
Web App: Images are scaled up 4×, up to a maximum image size of 4000px × 4000px.
iOS and Android: Images are scaled up 2×, up to a maximum image size of 1920px ×1920px.
Transform
Transform performs a lightweight AI touch-up that:
Increases the resolution
Removes blur and noise
Aims to improve the image by adding new textures or objects while keeping the image recognizable.
Note: Only available on iOS and Android.
Reimagine
A more thorough AI regeneration, where the AI creates a new image that is inspired by your original image. Reimagine:
Increases the resolution
Removes blur and noise
Reinterprets your source image and may change it in more creative ways than Transform.
Note: Only available on iOS and Android.
Before and After
Use the Before and After slider to compare the image before the upscaling to after the upscaling. On the Web App, it is labeled Original and Enhanced.
Note: In some cases, the difference between before and after might be barely noticeable until the image is used at larger sizes.
