With Photoroom's Instagram Story tool, you can create Instagram Story images from a prompt. Describe the image you want the AI to create, choose a style and size, and Photoroom will create the image for you.

Image shows 3 examples of different Instagram Story images generated by Photoroom.

In this article, we provide step-by-step instructions for using the Instagram Story tool on the iOS version of Photoroom. To learn more about the feature and how to use its settings, see How to use the Instagram Story tool.

Steps (iOS)

To create an Instagram Story image follow the steps below (divided into stages).

(Video has been edited to show faster AI generation times).

Stage 1: Access the Instagram Story tool

To access the Instagram Story tool:

  1. Select the Space you want to work in.

  2. Select AI tools.

  3. Select Instagram Story.

Stage 2: Choose your settings and generate

  1. Use the Instagram Story settings to tell Photoroom what to create. Use the prompt to describe the image and the other settings to set the other parameters.

To learn about the Instagram Story settings, see How to use the Instagram Story tool.

  2. Select Generate or the arrow button to create 2 images.

  3. [Optional] To try alternatives, change any setting and generate again.

To create more variations from a generated image, select its context menu and use the Generate 2 more or Edit with AI options.

The context menu options are shared across AI tools and you can learn about them in Context menu options for AI tools.

Stage 3: Review, edit, and save

  1. Select a generated image to open the review and edit screen.

  2. Review the result, make any final changes, or open it in the main editor for manual edits such as adding text, graphics, or a background.

For information on everything you can do here, see Review and edit an AI image.

  3. When you are happy with the image, save it.

You can now use your saved file in other applications. Your design is available in the Space's Designs in Photoroom.
