Add graphics, text, and shapes in the Product editor (Web App)

How to add graphic layers, image layers, text layers, and shape layers to product images in the Product editor. Web App.

When You can use the Product editor to add graphics, text, shapes, and content from your Brand Library to your product images. They are all available from the Insert option(+ plus icon) on the image tile's pill menu. This is a quick way to add information to product images, such as sales stickers and important dates.

Steps (Web App)

To add a graphic, text, or shape layer to a product image follow the instructions below. The video shows adding text and a graphic and also how to style the added layers.

  1. Open your Product catalog and select the product you want to edit.
    Photoroom opens the product's images in the Product editor.

  2. Select the image you want to edit.
    ​
    ​Note: You need to select the image tile, not a layer on the image.
    ​

  3. Select the + plus icon on the image’s pill menu.

  4. Choose the type of content you want to add:
    ​

    • Image
      Add an image that you will upload to Photoroom.
      ​

    • Text
      Add a text layer.
      ​

    • Shapes
      Add a shape graphic. Choose a shape from the list.
      ​

    • Graphics
      Add a graphic from the graphics library, which includes Frames, Arrows, Logos, and much more.
      ​

    • Brand Library
      Add content from your Brand Library.
      ​

  5. Select the layer and use its pill menu options to style it. You can also drag the layer to a new position or use its handles to change its size.

  6. When you have finished editing, publish your changes.

Tip: To move a layer in front of, or behind, other layers, use the Layers dialog. To display it, select More actions ( ... ) from the image pill menu and then Layers.

To add the same new layers to other images, you can either use Apply to all from the image's pill menu or you can use Copy/Paste edits. To learn about these options, see the articles listed in the Related content section at the end.
