Learn how to edit the file name of a design in PhotoRoom

Photoroom gives all of your designs a file name. By default, this is usually Photoroom_ followed by a unique number. But you can change the file name to something more descriptive if you prefer.

For instructions, select the link for your device:


On iPhone and iPad

To rename a file on iPhone or iPad:

  1. On the Create page, select Your Content.

    If you want to set the file name of a new design, create a new design and edit it so that Photoroom stores it in Your Content.

  2. On the Your Content page, select the design you want to rename.

  3. Select the Export icon.

  4. Select Options next to the existing file name.

  5. Change the file name.

  6. Select Done.


On Android

To rename a file on an Android device:

  1. On the Create page, select Your Content.

    If you want to set the file name of a new design, create a new design and edit it so that Photoroom stores it in Your Content.

  2. On the Your Content page, select the design you want to rename.

  3. Select the Export icon.

  4. Select Options next to the existing file name.

  5. Select the pencil icon next to the existing file name.

  6. Change the file name.

  7. Select Done.


On Web App

To rename a file on the Photoroom Web App:

  1. On the Create page, select Your Content.

    If you want to set the file name of a new design, create a new design and edit it so that Photoroom stores it in Your Content.

  2. On the Your Content page, select the design you want to rename.

  3. Click in the file name box at the top of the page.

  4. Change the file name.

  5. Press Enter to confirm.

You can now download the design with the new file name in place.
