Photoroom comes with a range of templates that you can use on your designs. These include:

  • Commonly used backgrounds, such as black, white, transparent, and the original background from your photo.

  • Backgrounds and objects designed for a particular theme, such as birthdays, nature, and sales.

  • Templates designed to be sized correctly for social media and selling sites.

You can also create your own templates and apply those.

In this article, we explain how to apply a template to an individual image. It is also possible to apply a template to multiple images at once, by using Batch Mode. For details, see Apply a template to multiple images in Batch Mode.

On iPhone and iPad

When you upload your image, a preview is shown. Below the preview is a list of categories. Some of these are for the AI-features (AI Backgrounds and AI Shadows), but the others are categories of templates.

  2. Choose the template you want to apply.

    You can either:

    1. Use the Search field to search for a particular type of template.

    2. Scroll down the list of template categories. When you see a category you like, scroll left and right through the template designs in that category.

  3. To change your design, select the object that you want to edit and then use its settings. Each part of the design has its own layer with settings, including the parts that came from the template.

Any changes that you make will only apply to your design. They will not apply to the original template.

  4. Select Export and then use the options to save and share your design.

  5. Select Done.
