If you have custom templates available in your workspace, you can apply them to new designs. Using custom templates can help you create many similar designs much more quickly than if you were making them from scratch.

Image 1 shows a custom template, images 2 and 3 show new designs that are based on the custom template. Once the template was applied, the new designs only needed to have their color and text changed in the editor.

On iPhone and iPad

To apply a custom template to a new design:

  1. Select Content.

  2. Select the workspace you want to work in.

Note: you will only have access to the custom templates in your chosen workspace.

  3. Select + New design.

  4. Select the image you want to import.
You can choose an image from your device's camera roll or files or you can take a photo with its camera. Alternatively, you can generate an image with AI.

Photoroom removes the background from the imported image.

When you select a template, Photoroom creates a new design that contains your imported photo and the layers from the design. It opens the design in the editor.

  6. Use the editor settings to make changes to the design, if you wish. For example, you could use the Text settings to change the wording of text.
