If you are on the Pro or Business plan, you can change the size of your image canvas and the AI will resize your design to fit. For example, let's you can turn a landscape design into a portrait design without stretching your image—the AI will draw extra background to fill in any extra space!

Side-by-side versions of the same image. The left version is landscape and the right version is portrait. AI Expand has added extra background to make the design fit the portrait canvas.

We call this "AI Expand" but you access it from the Resize feature in Photoroom. If you are on the Pro or Business plan, AI Expand happens automatically when you resize.

Note: On the Free plan, you do not have access to AI Expand. When you use Resize, only the image canvas will change size. For details, see Resize your designs.
