Photoroom's Batch Mode lets you create a collection of images, called a batch, and apply a template to them. This feature is especially useful for adding the same design to similar images. For example, adding a seasonal background or a sales banner to a collection of images.

Here, we explain how to create a batch and then apply a template to it. But if you prefer, you can create a custom template and then apply that to many images at once (see Apply a template to multiple images in Batch Mode).

On iPhone and iPad

To create a batch of images and then apply your template to the batch:

(Video shows Photoroom on iPhone)

  1. Select Content.

  2. Select the workspace you want to work in.

  3. Select Batch.

  4. Select Start Batch.

Alternatively, select the Resume batch link to reuse the last previously selected batch. This is only available if Photoroom can detect the previous batch.

  5. Choose the images to import into Photoroom and then select Add. When they import, Photoroom removes their backgrounds.

  6. Use the Template tab to apply a template to your images. You can choose one of your Team Templates or one of the pre-made Photoroom templates.

  7. [Optional] Use the Resize tab to change the size and shape of your designs. Photoroom will reposition the layers on the designs to suit the size you choose.

  8. [Optional] Use the Position tab to reposition the main subject of each design in the batch. Choose from:

    • Original to position the subject how it was captured

    • Centered to position the subject in the center of the design. Use the Padding slider to change the amount of space around the subject.

    • Template to position the subject to the recommended position for the template.

  9. [Optional] To make the same changes to all designs in the batch:

    1. Select the last design in the batch to open it in the editor.

    2. Use the editor to make the changes you want.

    3. Select Done.

    4. Select Apply to all before the timer runs out. The timer is shown as a purple loading bar at the top.

A close-up of the top of the screen when the Apply to all dialog is visible. There is a purple loading line that runs across the top of the dialog and it acts as a timer. The dialog has an Apply to all button.

  10. [Optional] To make changes to individual designs in the batch:

    1. Select the design to open it in the editor.

    2. Use the editor to make the changes you want.

    3. Select Next to go to the next image in the batch.

    4. Repeat these steps until you reach the last image in the batch. Make any changes to the last image and then select Done.

    5. To keep the changes you have made to each design, DO NOT select Apply to all. Let the timer run out so that the individual changes are applied instead.

  11. Select Export and use the options to save and share your designs.
