Photoroom's AI Images feature includes categories for creating AI photography. There are categories for product photography, food photography, animal photography and more.

In each case, you select the category, enter a prompt to describe the image, and then Photoroom creates an AI photo!

3 side-by-side images. Image 1 shows the Food photography category. Image 2 shows a prompt describing duck a l'orange. Image 3 shows a stunning AI photograph of duck a l'orange. Yum!

Here, we explain how to create AI photography using the food photography category. But you can use the same techniques for any of the other photograph categories.

On iPhone and iPad

To create AI photography images on the iPhone or iPad version of Photoroom:

(Video shows Photoroom on iPhone)

  1. Select Content.

  2. Choose the workspace you want to work in.

  3. Select AI Tools in the footer menu.

  4. Select the AI photography option that represents the type of photography you want to create, for example, Food photography. You may need to select the See <number> more option to see the full list of options.

  5. Enter a prompt that describes what you want to see in the AI photo.

If this is the first time you have used this particular category, Photoroom displays some example prompts as inspiration.

If you have used this category before, you can see the AI photographs you created previously. You can select one of those or select its dotted menu ( ... ) and choose to generate more variations or describe a change. The Generate 4 more and Describe a change options are both based on the prompt that was used to create the image. Alternatively, you can enter a new prompt for an entirely new image.

  6. Use Size to set the size and dimensions of the design that Photoroom will create.

  7. Use Style to choose the type of image, for example, Professional or Black & White.

  8. Select the purple arrow button to generate 4 AI images.

  9. Select the image you want to use or select the purple arrow button again to generate 4 more variations.

  10. When you see an image you like, select it.

  11. You then have options to:

    • Remove background
Photoroom will remove the background. You can add a background in the editor later if required.

    • Use image
Select this option when you are happy with the image and you want to proceed to the editor.

    • Change something
Use to describe some changes to the image. The AI will use the prompt you used to create the image originally plus any changes you describe.

  12. When you are satisfied with the image, select Use image. The image opens as a new design in the editor.

  13. [Optional] Use the editor options to further enhance the design, such as add logos and text.

  14. [Optional] Select Export. Use the export options to save and share your design.

  15. Select X to save your design and exit the editor.
