The crop feature lets you trim a layer so that part of it is removed. It's a handy way to crop the edges off images and shapes.
In the example below, the image of three rings is a cutout layer on a design. By using the crop handle on the left edge, we can trim the layer so that it only shows the third ring.
Availability: Cropping a layer is currently only available on the Web App version of Photoroom. It is coming soon to iPhone, iPad, and Android.
Note: If you crop a foreground layer on a design with an AI Background, the cropping will cause the AI Background to redraw.
On Web App
To crop a layer on the Web App:
Log in at app.photoroom.com.
Select the workspace you want to work in.
Either:
Select Designs and then select the design you want to edit.

Note: You can change the background by using the Backgrounds feature. You can also use Templates to apply a template with a background.
When your design is shown in the editor, select the layer you want to crop.
Tip: If you cannot select the layer because of the positioning of other layers, select the gray background area off the canvas. Then select the layer you want to edit from the list in the sidebar.
Drag the crop handles to trim the layer.
Select another layer or the gray background area off-canvas to deselect the current layer.
