Use Crop to trim the edges of a layer, reducing its height and/or width. For example, the original design below contains a red top and a denim skirt on one layer. Cropping the layer keeps only the red top.

In this article, we explain how to use Crop on the Android version of Photoroom. If you're using the iOS or Web App version, see:

On Android

To crop an image:

  1. Select the Space you want to work in.

  2. Select Content.

  3. Select the design you want to edit.

  4. Select the layer you want to crop.

  5. Select Crop in the layer settings.

  6. Use the handles to reduce the size of the layer.

  7. Select Done to confirm.

  8. [Optional] Use the editor to make additional changes, such as reposition the layer, or add text or graphics.

  9. Select Export.

  10. Select Done.

Tip: If one layer contains two images, duplicate the layer, then crop each layer to keep one image per layer.
