Use the Instagram Story feature to create static images that you can upload to your Instagram account. With Instagram Story designs, you enter a prompt to get the AI to generate an image. You can then edit that image and add items to it, such as logos and text. But the image is a static image and will not redraw when you move or add objects.

On iPhone and iPad
To create an Instagram Story design:

Select Content.
Select the workspace you want to work in.
Select AI tools.
Select See <n> more. Where <n> is a number.
Select Instagram story (and NOT AI Instagram Story).
Enter a prompt to describe the image you want. For example, you might want to include your business name, a message such as a slogan, and details about the tone.
Use Style to choose the art style for the image.
Select the purple and white arrow button to generate some images.
[Optional] Change the prompt and select the arrow button to generate more options.
[Optional] Select the dotted menu ( ... ) for a design and then select Generate more to create similar alternatives.
[Optional] Select the dotted menu ( ... ) for a design and then select Describe a change. Enter a prompt to describe the differences you want and then select the arrow button to generate.
When you have a design you are happy with, select it.
[Optional] Use Remove background to toggle the background layer on and off.
[Optional] Use Change something to describe a change or to generate variations.
Select Use image to open it as a design in the editor.
[Optional] Use the editor tools to add content, such as a logo and text for a website address.
[Optional] Select Export to save an image file version of your design. You can also use the export options to share your design to Instagram and with other people and services.
Select X to save your design and exit the editor.
On Android
To create an Instagram story image:
Select Content.
Select the workspace you want to work in.
Select AI tools.
Select See <n> more. Where <n> is a number.
Select Instagram story (and NOT AI Instagram Story).

On Web App
To create an Instagram Story design:
Log in at app.photoroom.com.
Select the workspace you want to work in.
Select AI Tools.
Select Instagram story (and NOT AI Instagram Story).
Enter a prompt to describe the image you want. For example, you might want to include your business name, a message such as "30% Off" or "Summer Sale", and details about the tone.
Use Style to choose the art style for the image.
Select Generate.
[Optional] Select Generate again to create more images to choose from.
[Optional] Change the description and select Generate to create images that use a different prompt.
[Optional] Hover the cursor over a design to reveal its dotted menu ( ... ). Select the dotted menu and choose from:
Generate 4 variations to generate 4 alternative versions that are a close match to the selected image.
Change something to alter the image by describing the change in a prompt.
Download to download the image as an image file.
When you have a design you are happy with, select it.
[Optional] Use the options to make changes:
Remove background to toggle the background layer on and off.
Change something to describe a change in a prompt.
Retouch to remove parts of the image. Draw over the areas you want to remove.
Resize to change the size of the image.
Select Use image to open it as a design in the editor.
[Optional] Use the editor tools to add content, such as a logo and text for a website address.
[Optional] Select Download to save an image file version of your design. You can then upload that file to Instagram as a story.
Select Home to save your design and exit the editor.
