When you export a design, the name of the export file uses either:
The original file name that was generated by Photoroom. This contains "photoroom" and a number.
A custom file name that you can enter in the Export settings.
In this article, we explain how to create a custom file name, restore the original file name for a single design, and restore the original file names for all designs.

Create a custom file name
To create a custom file name for an export:
Select Content.
Select the workspace that you want to work in.
Either:
Create a new design (select New design, upload a photo, and select a template to open the design in the editor).
Select an existing design to open it in the editor.
Select Export.
Select the Export settings link below the preview.
Make sure Keep original file name is switched off.
Select the X symbol in the file name field to erase it, and then enter a new file name.
Select Back to exit.
Use the export settings to export your design as an image file. You can also share your design with others.
Select X to exit and return to the Content page for your workspace.
Restore the original file name for a single design
Use the Keep original file name setting if you create a custom name for an export file and then decide you want to revert back to its first name.
Select Content.
Select the workspace that you want to work in.
Select the design that you want to rename.
Select Export.
Select the Export settings link below the preview.
Turn off Keep original file name.
Select the X symbol in the file name field to erase it, and then enter a new file name.
Turn on Keep original file name. This erases the custom name and restores the original name that Photoroom generated for the design.
Select Back.
Select X to exit and return to the Content page for your workspace.

To restore the original file name for all designs:
Select Content.
Select Settings.
Toggle Keep original filename off and and then on to restore the original Photoroom-generated name for all designs.
Photoroom turns on Keep original filename for every design (each design has its own Keep original filename option in its export settings).
Select Back to exit.

On the Web App, you set the file name for each design when you download it (see Export a design). But you can use the Web App to restore the original names of all designs.

Log in at app.photoroom.com.
Select Preferences.
Toggle Keep original filename off and and then on to restore the original Photoroom-generated name for all designs.
Select X to close the settings.
