Each layer on a design has an Edit with AI option that you can use to make changes. All you need to do is describe the changes you want and the AI will adapt the layer for you.

There are many potential uses for Edit with AI, including adding objects to images and changing the colors. For example, in the images below, we used Edit with AI to change the color of each hat layer.

A grid of 4 images. Image 1 shows 4 hats in a design and one of the hat layers is selected. Image 2 shows a prompt for Edit with AI. Image 3 shows the hat has changed color. Image 4 shows all of the hats have had their color changed.

Each hat in the design has its own layer (1). We edited the layer for a hat and used Edit with AI to describe the color change we wanted (2). The AI applied the different color to the selected hat (3). We then used Edit with AI on the other hat layers to change their colors too (4).

Note: The AI generations for Edit with AI count toward your AI generation limit.

Availability: Edit with AI is available on the Max plan and Pro plan.

To learn how to use AI to edit a layer, follow the instructions below. The video shows a simple example, where we use AI to change the color of 4 different layers on a design. But there are so many other things you can do with the AI.

  1. Select Content.

  2. Select the workspace you want to work in.

  3. Either:

  4. Select a layer that you want to edit.

  5. Select Edit with AI.

Note: This may appear as Type an edit or Describe a change in some versions of Photoroom.
