Photoroom's standalone Edit with AI tool lets you make changes to an image using a prompt. You upload the image or choose an existing design, describe the changes you want, and Photoroom makes the changes for you.
This article provides step-by-step instructions for using the standalone Edit with AI tool on the Web App. Edit with AI is also available as a feature when editing AI-generated images and designs (see the Related content section for links to relevant articles).

Each image generation uses AI credits.
Steps (Web App)
To use Edit with AI on the Web App version of Photoroom:

Stage 1: Choose an image to edit
First, you need to access the Edit with AI standalone tool and either upload an image or choose an existing one:
Log in at app.photoroom.com.
Select the Space you want to work in.
Select AI Tools.
Select Edit with AI.
If you don't see the Edit with AI option, select See all for a full list of tools.
Use the Drop files or select images box to upload or choose a source image. Select Add images to confirm. For details, see How to add images for AI tools (Web App).
Note: If a previously used image is shown in the box, hover over the image and then select X to remove it.
Stage 2: Choose your settings and generate
Use the settings in the sidebar to:
Upload or choose an image to work with
Set the size (aspect ratio) of the image to create
Choose whether the brand style should influence the AI
Describe the changes you want.

When you have made your choices:
Select Generate to create an image. Each generation uses AI credits.
[Optional] Create alternative images by changing the settings and then selecting Generate.
To create more variations from a generated image, select its context menu and use the Variation or Edit with AI options.

Stage 3: Review, edit, and save
Select a generated image to open the review and edit screen.
Review the result, make any final changes, or open it in the main editor for manual edits such as adding text, graphics, or a background.

When you are happy with the image, save it.
You can now use your saved file in other applications. Your design is available in the Space's Designs in Photoroom.
