When you upload a photo to the Web App, Photoroom automatically removes the background. To restore it, you can:

  • Apply the Original template

This restores the background on the background layer while keeping the main subject on a separate foreground layer. This gives you more editing flexibility. For details, see Keep the original background of your photo.

  • Toggle Remove background on the foreground layer

Turn Remove background off to bring back the full original photo on a single foreground layer, leaving an empty background layer.

This article explains how to use the Remove background option.
