Ways to keep the original background:

  • Select Skip background removal while your image is being imported into Photoroom (iPhone, iPad, Android).

This is only available while the automatic background removal is taking place. If you don't select it within the time period, you'll need to use one of the other methods for restoring the background.

  • Use the Original template (iPhone, iPad, Android, Web App)

  • Use the Remove background toggle (Web App)

In this article, we explain how to use the Original template and the Remove background toggle.

Note: You can also use the Remove background setting to Restore the original background of an AI-generated image.
