Use a different email address (iOS)

You cannot change the email address of your Photoroom account but you can invite a different email address to share your Space. Find out how in this article.

You can’t change the email address linked to your Photoroom account. However, you can share your Space with a new email address and then use that new address to work in Photoroom.

This will mean you have two users in your Space:

  • Your original user with your old email address.

  • Your new user with your new email address.

There is no extra charge for an additional user as the pricing is based on one subscription per Space (see Billing for Spaces).


On iPhone and iPad

To use a different email address to log in to Photoroom:

  1. Log in to Photoroom using your existing user account (the account associated with your old email address).

  2. Select the Space you want to share with your new email address.

  3. Select Invite people.

  4. Enter your new email address as a new invite and then select Send invites.

  5. Log out of Photoroom:

    1. Select the Space menu.

    2. Select Manage account.

    3. Select Log out.

  6. Open your email for the new email address and find the email that invites you to join the Space. Select the link in the email to log in to Photoroom.

  7. Select the Space you shared in step 2.

    You are now logged in to the Space using your new email address. The remaining steps in this procedure explain how to make your new account an Admin for the Space. This is optional, but we recommend it if your old account was also an Admin.

Make your new account an Admin for the Space

If your old account was an Admin for the Space, it is a good idea to make your new account an Admin too. This will ensure you have the same access to the management features and can edit the payment details.

  1. Log out.

    1. Select the Space.

    2. Select Manage account.

    3. Select Log out.

  2. Log in using your old email address.

  3. Select X to exit your account screen.

  4. Select the Space that you invited your new email address to join.

  5. Select Team.

  6. Select the account for your new email address.

  7. Change the Status to Admin and then select the back arrow to exit.

  8. Select X to exit the Team screen.

  9. Log out.

  10. Log in using your new email address. You should now have the same Admin status as your old email address. You can see it in the Team settings for your Space.

Note: If your old account is the Admin paying for the subscription, Photoroom will continue to bill that account. To transfer the subscription to a different user account, contact Photoroom Support. This transfer can’t be done by yourself and must be handled by our support team.
